Anthony Bouwhuis - CPO is native to Grand Rapids, MI but currently resides in Traverse City, MI with his wife, Katie, and daughter, Sophia. Anthony and Katie recently welcomed Sophia, their baby girl in May of 2018. They have resided in Traverse City, MI since 2016 after Anthony completed his Masters in Orthotics and Prosthetics at Eastern Michigan University. Anthony received his American Board Certification (ABC) as a Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist (CPO) in May 2018 after his completion of his 18-month residency. Prior to graduate school, Anthony received his Bachelor's degree in Human Biology at Michigan State University.
Anthony enjoys working and helping patients not only at the Teter office, but also at the hospital, nursing homes, and their physical therapy appointments. He finds it rewarding working together with physicians, therapists, and family members to provide the best plan and device for each individual patient. Anthony likes to spend time with his family during his free time. Hobbies include skiing, golfing, basketball, biking, and trips to the lake.
Dave Knudsen - Cped
David Marsh - CPO is a native of Traverse City, MI and currently resides there with his wife, Jessica, and daughter, Avery. In 2003, he graduated from Traverse City West High School and went on to Western Michigan University where he received his Bachelor's degree in education in 2008. He started working at Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics in 2012 as a technician. In 2015, Dave received his Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO) at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He then received his American Board Certification (ABC) as a certified Orthotist/Prosthetist (CPO) in April 2017. Dave enjoys working with people of all ages, helping to accommodate deficiencies and allowing them to remain independent. His favorite aspect of his job is helping others and building relationships with those he works with. During his free time, Dave enjoys being active outdoors golfing, or spending time with his wife and daughter.
Jaan Tuulik - CP is a native of Southfield, MI where he received his Associate of Science degree from Northwestern Community College in Traverse City. He was employed at Munson Hospital for two years as a PT assistant, and he received both his technical and clinical training at Century College and University of Minnesota. Jaan became American Board Certified as an Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician in 1980 and then became American Board Certified as a Prosthetics Practitioner in 1985. Jaan has had the pleasure of being a member of the Teter team since 1980, which means he has experience in all the technology innovations from the start! Technology in the field of orthotics and prosthetics has been constantly evolving and improving, and Jaan has been using these advances to improve the quality of life for our amputees over the years, which he finds rewarding and exciting. Jaan is confident that our new generation of practitioners will continue to introduce innovative ideas for the future of our field to provide improved outcomes for patients.
Jaan enjoys volunteering for the Special Olympics and for the local Northern Michigan Adaptive Sport program, where he donated his time for over 17 years. His hobbies include playing with his 4-year-old granddaughter, golfing, cross-country skiing, bicycling, and enjoying river activities with his wife, Sue.
Karen Rensberry - BOC Fitter
Lisa Schaub - BOC Fitter, Orthotist, CFM has lived in Northern Michigan for over 40 years. She began working for Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics of Traverse City back in 1991, where she enjoyed her work as a front desk receptionist for over 10 years. Lisa then began job training and in 2004 received her American Board for Certification (ABC) in Mastectomy Fitting and Orthotic Fitting. After a few years, Lisa continued her advanced training and received her Board of Certification (BOC) accreditation in Orthotics in 2010. Lisa enjoys working with the patients and the array of cases that are presented almost daily. She recognizes that each patient has different needs, and some are more challenging than others. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and family, such as motorcycle riding, off-road RZR riding, kayaking, fishing, hunting, and traveling. Lisa has a son, who is married, and two wonderful granddaughters that she loves spending time with.
Missy Kolbusz - BOC Fitter
Shelby Storey - Resident is a native of Traverse City, MI and currently resides there with her husband, Kyle, and doggy daughter, Jesse. Shelby graduated from Traverse City West High School in 2011 and went on to Michigan State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She received her Master of Science degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Eastern Michigan University in May 2018. She started her residency in July 2018 to become a board eligible prosthetist and orthotist. Shelby is excited to be a part of the Teter family and feels fortunate to have the opportunity to work in her hometown.
Shelby enjoys running, swimming, and kayaking. She loves to spend time with her nephew. And likes to travel often.
Todd Stone - CPO, CEO/Owner of Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics, Inc. began his orthotics and prosthetics career in 1985 as a technician in Muskegon, Michigan. In 1991, Todd accepted a position as a technician and practitioner's assistant with NovaCare Orthotics & Prosthetics in Dallas at Baylor College of Medicine. He obtained his Board for Orthotic Certification in 1993. He completed a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Prosthetics and Orthotics Baccalaureate Program and graduated with honors in 1996.
Todd joined Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics in May of 1996. He obtained his American Board Certification (ABC) in Orthotics in 1997, along with his certification in Pedorthics. He received his ABC certification in Prosthetics in 1998. In 2012, Todd became CEO and Owner of Teter Orthotics & Prothetics. Todd currently sits as the Secretary on the Board of Michigan Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (MOPA). He is also a member of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA). He specializes in prosthetics, pediatric care, is certified in all brands of Micro (M) Processor (P) Controlled Knees (K) MPK’s, Touch Bionics hands as well as COAPT pattern recognition software and myoelectric upper limb prostheses.
Todd has also been providing mission work for the last six (6) years to the Dominican Republic as part of “Limbs 4 Life,” a non-profit organization committed to prosthetic care. Local charities are also very important to him, specifically, March of Dimes. Todd loves spending time with his family most of all and enjoys many outdoor activities including, boating, fishing, bird hunting, dirt biking and snowmobiling.
