Adriana Medina - CPO is from Gobles, MI where she received a full-tuition academic scholarship to attend Western Michigan University. She completed the program and graduated in 2012 with her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. Adriana continued her education in Ypsilanti, MI at Eastern Michigan University, completing a Master's of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics in April 2015. Shortly after graduating, she pursued an amazing residency opportunity in Dayton, OH where she gained valuable experience working in many different aspects of orthotics and prosthetics at a very large clinic that partnered with many hospitals and clinics in and around the area. After completing her residency, Adriana moved back to Michigan to join the Teter family in June of 2017 and received her certification through the American Board of Certification (ABC) as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO). She is excited to be back in the area where she was born and raised, where she will continue to provide the utmost level of care to every one of her patients.
During her free time, Adriana enjoys volunteering with Special Olympics, spending time with her husband, son, family, and friends, and enjoying all the fun outdoor activities that come with living in the beautiful state of Michigan.
Terry Emig - BOC Orthotist is a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Terry began his career with Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2005. Before working with Teter, Terry worked for Twin Cities O&P for 11 years. He has served Cooper Township by volunteering as an on-call firefighter since 1976 and as the Fire Chief, since 1987. Terry is happily married with 4 children and 6 grandchildren. His hobbies include hunting and fishing.
Ricky May- Resident is a native of Grand Rapids, MI. Ricky graduated from East Kentwood High School in 2013 and went on to graduate from Hope College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomechanical Engineering. He received his Masters of Science degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Eastern Michigan University in April 2019. He started his residency in May 2019 to become a board eligible prosthetist and orthotist. Ricky is excited to be a part of the Teter family and is looking forward to contributing to the team. Ricky enjoys most outdoor activities but especially golfing and football. He loves spending time with his family and friends. Ricky also enjoys cheering for the Detroit Lions and finding new restaurants to try."
Julia Wright- Resident is a native of Lagrange, Indiana where she graduated from Westview Jr. Sr. High school in 2015. She then went to the University of Indianapolis for two years where she double majored in chemistry and biomedical engineering and ran on the track & field team. She then completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University, Indianapolis in 2019. During her time at Purdue, she worked as a researcher for Surestep focusing on the design and technology of pediatric orthotics for an array of neuromuscular and orthopedic diagnoses. While at Surestep, Julia worked to capture and interpret gait analysis data to help determine the best approach for each individual. She then went to Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and graduated with her Master's in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2021. Julia joined the Teter family following graduation as a resident. She is excited to continue her learning at Teter so she can best serve her patients and their individual needs.
Julia enjoys spending her free time with her husband John, their three-legged dog Whiskey, and the rest of their family and friends. They enjoy traveling and finding new recipes to try. Julia also enjoys cooking, reading, and being active and outdoors including volleyball, hiking, and biking.
John Wamhoff- Prosthetic Resident, BEO grew up on a dairy farm in Hopkins, MI, and graduated from Hopkins High School in 2013. He then graduated from Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, IN in 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering. While at Indiana Tech, John competed in cross country and track & field where he was a member of 6 national championship teams. John also started his O&P career in this time working as an orthotic and prosthetic technician for two and a half years. From there, John went on to earn a Master’s in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Northwestern University in 2019. He then completed his orthotic residency at Transcend O&P in Indianapolis, IN, working primarily with pediatrics. He specializes in pediatrics with neuromuscular and orthopedic diagnoses, chromosomal abnormalities, and cranial remolding helmets. He finished 6 months of his prosthetic residency with Comfort Prosthetics in Metro-Detroit working with an array of amputation levels and prosthetic interventions. John was given an opportunity to move closer to home and joined the Teter family in March 2021. He is excited to serve patients in his home area of Southwest Michigan.
John enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Julia, along with their family and friends. John and his wife enjoy cooking, working on their home, and being outside with their three-legged dog, Whiskey. John also enjoys woodworking, lifting weights, playing basketball and volleyball, biking, and golfing with friends.
