Ladd Lorenz - BS, CP is a native of Grand Rapids, MI. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from Grand Valley State University in 1992. He continued his education at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, where he received his Prosthetic certificate in 1995. In addition, he worked as a prosthetic technician at Creative Orthotics and Prosthetics in Grand Rapids. Ladd then did his prosthetic residency at Mary Free Bed Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. He worked at Mary Free Bed from 1996 until 2003. During this time, he also regularly attended the Adult Regional Amputee Clinic and the Children's Center for Limb Differences Clinic. Ladd was a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, earning the distinction of 'Fellow' in 2000.
Ladd joined the staff at Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2003, where he was an integral part of the expansion of the company into the mid and southern regions of Michigan where he currently manages several offices. Over the past 25+ years, Ladd has established himself as an expert in the field of prosthetics. He is comfortable in any prosthetic situation and enjoys helping his patients achieve their goals with the use of current technologies and sound prosthetic principles.
In his free time, Ladd enjoys spending time with his wife of 25 years and their college-aged children. He also likes to travel, spend time in the gym and golf.
Valerie Matzen - Cped, CFO, CFM is a native of Greenville, MI. She originally began her career with Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2006 as an administrative assistant. Once established and trained by Teter's numerous experienced orthotists, she began fittings and adjustments. She first received her Mastectomy Fitter certification in 2011, followed by her Orthotic Fitter certification in 2012, and finally her Pedorthic certification in 2013 from Robert M. Palmer Institute of Biomechanics. Valerie has grown as a practitioner, thanks to the knowledge and experience of Teter and her fellow practitioners.
She enjoys helping her patients achieve a better life through orthotic use. Valerie also enjoys running, hiking, kayaking and all things outdoors with her husband, two beautiful daughters, and her dog/running buddy, Rogue.
