Ed Teter, CP, Board of Directors
Ed was President of Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics from 1973 until 1990. His post graduate work includes studies at Northwestern University in Chicago, New York University in New York and UCLA Medical School in Los Angeles. Ed obtained his (ABC) board certification in 1967. He has served as a board member of the Michigan Orthotic and Prosthetic Association and was also a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association.
Ed was a founding member of OPTIMUM, a select group of practitioners providing quality care at a reasonable cost. Ed was instrumental in forming a local chapter of the Michigan Handicap Ski Association.
Currently Ed serves a board member and consultant of Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics, Inc. Ed is married to Susan, a registered dietitian. He enjoys skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, golf and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mike Teter, C.P.O. President
Mike began his career in Orthotics & Prosthetics as a youth, working part-time for his father until 1981, when he became a full-time technician in the Traverse City office. In 1985 Mike received his practitioner Certificate in Orthotics & Prosthetics from Northwestern Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He attained his (ABC) Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics after a residency and a four-day written and practical/oral exam in 1987.
Mike serves as a Board Member for the Michigan Orthotic and Prosthetic Association. Mike resides in Traverse City, Michigan with his wife, Barb, and three daughters. He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including golfing, hunting, and skiing.
Todd Stone, C.P.O. , Chief Operating Officer
Todd began his career in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1986 as a technician in Muskegon, Michigan. In 1991, Todd accepted a position as a Practitioners Assistant with Novacare Orthotics & Prosthetics at the Baylor Campus in Dallas, Texas. He obtained his Board for Orthotist Certification (BOC) for Orthotics in 1993. In 1994, he was accepted into the University of Texas Southwestern Prosthetics & Orthotics Baccalaureate program and graduated with honors in 1996.
Todd moved to Northern Michigan in June 1996, and joined our staff here at Teter O&P. He obtained his American Board Certification (ABC) in Orthotics in 1997, along with his Certification in Pedorthotics (C.PED). Todd received his (ABC) certification in Prosthetics in 1998. From 1998 until 2004 Todd was the manager of the Alpena, Gaylord and Sault Ste Marie offices. In 2004 Todd became the chief operating officer for Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics and now is responsible for managing the daily operations of all offices.
Todd currently resides in Traverse city and enjoys many outdoor activities, especially fishing and golf. He enjoys spending time with his daughter Ella Grace and family and friends most of all.
Jaan Tuulik, C.P.
Jaan has been a member of the Teter O&P staff since 1980. After acquiring an Associates of Science Degree from Northwestern Michigan College, he successfully completed the Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician Program at 916 Vo-Tech in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Jaan became registered as an Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician through the American Board of Certification. He attended the Prosthetic Practitioner program at 916 Vo-Tech, affiliated with Minnesota University Medical School, in 1983. Jaan became ABC Certified as a Prosthetic Practitioner in 1985.
He enjoys skiing, golfing, and most outdoor activities.
Chris Peregrine, C.P.O.
Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in 1982 and continued his education through the Certificate Program in Orthotics and Prosthetics at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois from 1984-1985. He became (ABC) certified in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1987 and is an active member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
Upon completion of his residency at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, Chris worked as a clinical prosthetist. He has been a guest lecturer at the Northwestern University Orthotic and Prosthetic Center, served as a board member of the Midwest chapter of th eAmerican Academy of Orhotists and Prosthetists and has worked as a clinical prosthetist and orthotist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Scheck and Siress Prosthetics and Orthotics in Oak Park, Illinois.
A native of suburban Chicago, Chris currently resides in Traverse City with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys the outdoors, biking, hiking, skiing, and sailing.
Dave Giurlanda, C.O.
Dave graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology. He began working and studying the field of orthotics with Wright & Filippis in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He then continued his education by obtaining his Orthotics Certificate at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois in 1994 and gained his ABC Certification in Orthotics in 1998.
Dave has had the most state-of-the-art pediatric training obtainable in this field. Dave moved to the Traverse City area with his wife, Jennifer and two daughters, Hannah and Hailey. He has been employed with Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics since July 2000. Dave enjoys camping with his family, fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling.
David Knudsen, C-Ped
David received his Associates Degree from Northwestern Michigan College in 1978 before continuing his education at Central Michigan University. In 1980 he received a Bachelor of Science Education degree. David joined the Teter O&P family in 2004 as a purchasing agent, and was then a lab technician. He is now a board certified Pedorthist for Teter's after graduating from Robert M. Palmer, M.D. Institute for Biomechanics with honors and successfully completing the ABC Board Certification exam. David is a member of the Pedorthic Footwear Association, as well as a member of the Long Lake Peninsula Association. He is also a St. Francis Parish Member and was previously a Paul Harris Fellow. David resides in Traverse City with his wife, Jane, and their son, Quinn. He enjoys golfing, boating and spending time with his family.
Lisa Schaub, Cfom
Lisa has worked for Teter Orthotics and Prothetics since 1991. She worked as a receptionist for ten years before moving to purchasing and marketing. Lisa is now a certified fitter of Orthotics and Mastectomy products.
Lisa and her husband Rick of 25 years have a son and 2 granddaughters. They are long time residents of the Traverse City area. Lisa enjoys riding her motorcycle, traveling, hunting, fishing and camping.
Carol Humfleet, Office Manager
Carol has worked for Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics since 1976 and throughout the years held multiple responsibilities including, the front desk, insurance billing, ordering, shipping, accounts payable and payroll. Today, Carol helps oversee the day to day operations of the office and works closely with the satellite offices.

Carol, and her husband Roger have been married nearly 30 years and have two grown children and one grandson.
Brenda S. Welch, Marketing/Collection
Brenda has worked for Teter O&P since 2005. She has worked in the Traverse City office and the Grand Rapids office collecting monies on outstanding balances. Recently, she has taken on Marketing and Stock and Bill responsibilities and will cover the Traverse City and surrounding areas.

Brenda and her husband Bill live in Traverse City and have 2 children. Brenda loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoys all that Northern Michigan has to offer.
Alma:
Diana Christiansen Burgtorf, CPO, BOCPO, C.Ped
Certified Orthotist Prosthetist and Certified Pedorthist
Diana attended Northwestern University and completed the course work in Pedorthics. She received her Pedorthist certification in 1997. Diana then received her certification with BOC as an orthotist in 2000, and was then certified as a prosthetist with BOC in 2004. Certification was then sought and given as a prosthetist/orthotist with ABC in 2005. Diana worked for ten years in a fast paced facility downtown Grand Rapids creating a wonderful and diverse base of experience before coming to Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2004.
Currently, Diana is the practitioner assigned to the Alma and Mt Pleasant offices providing the orthotic and pedorthic care for these cities and outlying areas. She is uniquely qualified to handle the varied patient population of this geography ranging from fracture care to diabetic shoe gear and compression garments.

Alpena:

Todd began his career in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1986 as a technician in Muskegon, Michigan. In 1991, Todd accepted a position as a Practitioners Assistant with Novacare Orthotics & Prosthetics at the Baylor Campus in Dallas, Texas. He obtained his Board for Orthotist Certification (BOC) for Orthotics in 1993. In 1994, he was accepted into the University of Texas Southwestern Prosthetics & Orthotics Baccalaureate program and graduated with honors in 1996.
Todd moved to Northern Michigan in June 1996, and joined our staff here at Teter O&P. He obtained his American Board Certification (ABC) in Orthotics in 1997, along with his Certification in Pedorthotics (C.PED). Todd received his (ABC) certification in Prosthetics in 1998. From 1998 until 2004 Todd was the manager of the Alpena, Gaylord and Sault Ste Marie offices. In 2004 Todd became the chief operating officer for Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics and now is responsible for managing the daily operations of all offices.
Todd currently resides in Traverse city and enjoys many outdoor activities, especially fishing and golf. He enjoys spending time with his daughter Ella Grace and family and friends most of all.
Max Leonard, B.E.P., MSA, BS, Orthotist
Max started his career as an Athletic Trainer at Alma College in 1997. He graduated from Alma in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Exercise and Health Science. In 2000, he returned to Alma to work as a Certified Athletic Trainer as he attended Central Michigan University for a Masters in Heathcare Administration. He finished his Masters by working in Colorado and continued to live in Colorado Springs.
Max managed an orthotic office in Colorado Springs for OrthoRx from 2002-2007. In 2007 Max decided to broaden his scope of practice and pursued his prosthetic interest. While attending Northwestern University he worked at Colorado Orthotics and Prosthetic Services as well as Creative Technology Prosthetics, Inc. He graduated from Northwestern in 2008, moved back to Michigan, and continued his prosthetic training with Teter O&P in their Grand Rapids office. Max moved his family to northern Michigan in the winter of 2008 to work in Teter's Petoskey office. Max covers Petoskey, Sault Saint Marie, Cheboygan, and Gaylord offices.
Max currently lives just outside Petoskey with his wife Cassandra and daughter Annabelle. He enjoys all the activities throughout the seasons that Northern Michigan has to offer.
Tammy Eller, CFo, Alpena
Tammy has been a member of the Teter Orthotic and Prosthetic staff since 1998. She began her employment as an Executive Assistant in the Alpena Office. In April of '98 she attended the CAMP Institute of Applied Technology receiving CFo and Mastectomy Fitter certifications.
She is a life long resident living in Hubbard Lake and has been a volunteer for the Hubbard Lake Fire Department as a EMT-S and Firefighter II for over 25 years. She enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing, boating, fishing, snowmobiling and "Harley" road trips.

Ladd has been involved in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics since graduating from Grand Valley State University in 1992 with a degree in Biomedical Science, Ladd spent the next few years working as a technician and an assistant before being accepted into the Prosthetics Program at Northwestern University Medical School in 1995. He then continued his training as a resident at Mary Free Bed Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ladd spent the next seven years establishing himself as an expert in the field of prosthetics, including positions on both the Adult and Pediatric Clinic teams. He has vast experience with a variety of specialties including pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
Ladd is also an active member in the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and earned the distinction of Fellow in 2000. Ladd completed training as a Pedorthist at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and earned his certificate in Pedorthics in 2001. Ladd likes to stay current on new technologies in the field of prosthetics and enjoys using the new technology to help his patient's achieve a better outcome.
When he is not working, Ladd enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. Ladd has volunteered for various coaching duties on his children's sports teams including basketball, baseball and soccer. Other leisure activities include sports of any kind, especially biking and golf.
Robin A. Goodenow, Practitioner/Manager/Orthotic Assistant
Robin manages the Cadillac/Big Rapids offices. Robin practiced for 17 years in the field of occupational therapy before joining Teter O & P in January of 2002. Robin draws from her therapy background and incorporates many of her skills to the field of orthotics. Robin's area of interest has always been geriatics. Robin is currently a certified fitter of orthotic devices and matectomy products with Teter and plans to obtain her BOC orthotics certification in the near future. Robin resides in Tustin with her husband, Brian and their three children. Robin enjoys photography, gardening and spending time with family.

Tina M Dewey, Practitioner/Marketing
Tina practiced in the Orthotic & Prothetics for several years before joining the Cadillac/Houghton Lake offices of Teter O & P in June of 2009.
Tina worked in orthotics as a primary fitter. She has 25 years of experience in marketing, sales, advertising and public relations. Tina attended Baker College of Cadillac & Ferris State University with a focus on Business Management & Human Relations.
Tina is currently a certified fitter of orthotic devices and mastectomy products.
She is on the Board of Directors for Foot prints of Time F.I.T. a non profit Adult Day Program in Missaukee County.
Tina resides in Lake City with her husband, Budd, and has two children. Her son Jeremy, 24, lives in Kentucky, and her daughter Cora, 21, lives in Grand Rapids. She enjoys boating, fishing, snowmobiling and spending time with her family.
Charlotte:
Larry Fetterman, C.O./Manager
Larry has been in the field of Orthotics for 30 years. He attended New York University in New York and Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He received his Certification in Orthotics in 1976 and has been working with Pediatrics, specializing in the fitting of Scoliosis Bracing.
Larry moved to Traverse City with his wife and three children after spending 18 years in Ohio. He joined the staff of Teter O&P in March of 1989 and was promoted to General Manager in 1995. He currently manages the Kalamazoo location.
Larry enjoys a variety of outdoor activities but woodworking is one of his favorite hobbies. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three grown children.
Cheboygan:

Ken Gokee
Ken began his career in orthotics and prosthetics with Teter O&P in 2000 as a O&P technician. Ken worked at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in the Physical Therapy Department for twenty-one years before coming to work for Teter's. While at NMRH he was a member of the Diabetic Foot Clinic for eight years. Ken brings his diabetic foot care knowledge and expertise to Teter O&P. Ken grew up in Petoskey and continued to live there before moving to Harbor Springs where he currently resides with his wife, Sue, and their two children, Ryan and Kiersten.

Rich Mooradian, C.O.
Rich Mooradian, C.O., started his Orthotics career in 1985. Rich graduated from the Orthotic Technician and Practitioner program offered at 916 Vo-Tech in affiliation with the university of Minnesota Medical School. Following a residency program at Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, he began practicing with Fairview Hospital Orthopedic Lab in Minneapolis. Rich gained experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings for seventeen years during which time he became ABC certified and managed one of several clinic offices Fairview operates.
Rich joined Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics in Petoskey at the start of 2003, when the draw of Northern Michigan became too great. He resides in Petoskey with his wife Jane and their three daughters. He enjoys skiing, biking and other outdoor activities.
Fremont:
Clark Kuipers, C.P.O./Manager
Clark is a native to Holland Michigan and began his college education at Hope College in 1979 where he received his Bachelors Degree. He then attended the University of Minn. and earned his business and prosthetic degree before moving on to a partnership in Columbus, OH from 1983-1985. Clark then attended Northwestern Orthotics in 1986 and returned to partnership in Columbus until 1997. In 1998 Clark opened an O & P office in Holland until 2005. Clark is currently a practitioner in the Grand Rapids office. Clark has been married to his wife, Barb, for 29 years and they have two children. He is Endolite and C-Leg Certified and specializes in scoliosis.
Gaylord:

Dan Higgins, C.O.
Dan has been a member of Teter O&P since August 09. He is Endolite and C-Leg Certified and specializes in scoliosis.
Ladd Lorenz, C.P., C.PED.
Ladd has been involved in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics since graduating from Grand Valley State University in 1992 with a degree in Biomedical Science, Ladd spent the next few years working as a technician and an assistant before being accepted into the Prosthetics Program at Northwestern University Medical School in 1995. He then continued his training as a resident at Mary Free Bed Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ladd spent the next seven years establishing himself as an expert in the field of prosthetics, including positions on both the Adult and Pediatric Clinic teams. He has vast experience with a variety of specialties including pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
Ladd is also an active member in the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and earned the distinction of Fellow in 2000. Ladd completed training as a Pedorthist at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and earned his certificate in Pedorthics in 2001. Ladd likes to stay current on new technologies in the field of prosthetics and enjoys using the new technology to help his patient's achieve a better outcome.
When he is not working, Ladd enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. Ladd has volunteered for various coaching duties on his children's sports teams including basketball, baseball and soccer. Other leisure activities include sports of any kind, especially biking and golf.
Brent A. Kuzma, Sales & Marketing
Brent began working for Teter O&P in 2009. He has recentley graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Marketing. His position entails managing and promoting the stock and bill inventory accounts while marketing patient care services Teter O & P provides in Grand Rapids and surronding areas.
Brent has recently moved to the Grand Rapids area and will be getting married in the summer of 2010. Brent has enjoyed the transition of relocating and working at Teter.

Todd began his career in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1986 as a technician in Muskegon, Michigan. In 1991, Todd accepted a position as a Practitioners Assistant with Novacare Orthotics & Prosthetics at the Baylor Campus in Dallas, Texas. He obtained his Board for Orthotist Certification (BOC) for Orthotics in 1993. In 1994, he was accepted into the University of Texas Southwestern Prosthetics & Orthotics Baccalaureate program and graduated with honors in 1996.
Todd moved to Northern Michigan in June 1996, and joined our staff here at Teter O&P. He obtained his American Board Certification (ABC) in Orthotics in 1997, along with his Certification in Pedorthotics (C.PED). Todd received his (ABC) certification in Prosthetics in 1998. From 1998 until 2004 Todd was the manager of the Alpena, Gaylord and Sault Ste Marie offices. In 2004 Todd became the chief operating officer for Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics and now is responsible for managing the daily operations of all offices.
Todd currently resides in Traverse city and enjoys many outdoor activities, especially fishing and golf. He enjoys spending time with his daughter Ella Grace and family and friends most of all.
Dave Giurlanda, C.O.
Dave graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology. He began working and studying the field of orthotics with Wright & Filippis in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He then continued his education by obtaining his Orthotics Certificate at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois in 1994 and gained his ABC Certification in Orthotics in 1998.
Dave has had the most state-of-the-art pediatric training obtainable in this field. Dave moved to the Traverse City area with his wife, Jennifer and two daughters, Hannah and Hailey. He has been employed with Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics since July 2000. Dave enjoys camping with his family, fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling.

Houghton Lake:
Mike Teter, C.P.O.
Mike began his career in Orthotics & Prosthetics as a youth, working part-time for his father until 1981, when he became a full-time technician in the Traverse City office. In 1985 Mike received his practitioner Certificate in Orthotics & Prosthetics from Northwestern Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He attained his (ABC) Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics after a residency and a four-day written and practical/oral exam in 1987.
Mike serves as a Board Member for the Michigan Orthotic and Prosthetic Association. Mike resides in Traverse City, Michigan with his wife, Barb, and three daughters. He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including golfing, hunting, and skiing.
Tina M Dewey, Practitioner/Marketing
Tina practiced in the Orthotic & Prothetics for several years before joining the Cadillac/Houghton Lake offices of Teter O & P in June of 2009.
Tina worked in orthotics as a primary fitter. She has 25 years of experience in marketing, sales, advertising and public relations. Tina attended Baker College of Cadillac & Ferris State University with a focus on Business Management & Human Relations.
Tina is currently a certified fitter of orthotic devices and mastectomy products.
She is on the Board of Directors for Foot prints of Time F.I.T. a non profit Adult Day Program in Missaukee County.
Tina resides in Lake City with her husband, Budd, and has two children. Her son Jeremy, 24, lives in Kentucky, and her daughter Cora, 21, lives in Grand Rapids. She enjoys boating, fishing, snowmobiling and spending time with her family.
Kalamazoo:
Larry Fetterman, C.O./Manager
Larry has been in the field of Orthotics for 30 years. He attended New York University in New York and Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He received his Certification in Orthotics in 1976 and has been working with Pediatrics, specializing in the fitting of Scoliosis Bracing.
Larry moved to Traverse City with his wife and three children after spending 18 years in Ohio. He joined the staff of Teter O&P in March of 1989 and was promoted to General Manager in 1995. He currently manages the Kalamazoo location.
Larry enjoys a variety of outdoor activities but woodworking is one of his favorite hobbies. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three grown children.

Terry Emig BOCO, Kalamazoo office
Terry has been with Teter O& P for 5 years. He worked for Twin Cities O&P for 11 years before coming to Teter. He is a certified Orthotist through BOC. Terry is married with four children ages 15-30 years old, and he has three grand children. Terry has been with Cooper Fire Department for 33 years, and he has been Fire Chief for 22 yrs.

Jaan has been a member of the Teter O&P staff since 1980. After acquiring an Associates of Science Degree from Northwestern Michigan College, he successfully completed the Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician Program at 916 Vo-Tech in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Jaan became registered as an Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician through the American Board of Certification. He attended the Prosthetic Practitioner program at 916 Vo-Tech, affiliated with Minnesota University Medical School, in 1983. Jaan became ABC Certified as a Prosthetic Practitioner in 1985.
He enjoys skiing, golfing, and most outdoor activities.

Tom Hallead has been with Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics since 2002. He splits his time between the Manistee and Ludington offices. Previously employed in the shoe industry, he brings with him over 15 years of experience in shoe fitting. He often draws upon this knowledge in helping to select and fit shoes for the diabetic patient. He is a certified fitter of orthotic devices and plans to obtain his BOC . Tom and his wife Kari reside in Ludington with their two daughters Molly and Tess. When not at work or spending time with his family, Tom officates basketball at collegiate level.

Mt. Pleasant:
Diana Christiansen Burgtorf, CPO, BOCPO, C.Ped
Diana attended North Western University and completed the course work in Pedorthics. She received her Pedorthist certification in 1997. Diana then received her certification with BOC as an orthotist in 2000, and was then certified as a prosthetist with BOC in 2004. Certification was then sought and given as a prosthetist/orthotist with ABC in 2005. Diana worked for ten years in a fast paced facility downtown Grand Rapids creating a wonderful and diverse base of experience before coming to Teter Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2004.
Currently, Diana is the practitioner assigned to the Alma and Mt Pleasant offices providing the orthotic and pedorthic care for these cities and outlying areas. She is uniquely qualified to handle the varied patient population of this geography ranging from fracture care to diabetic shoe gear and compression garments.

Ken Gokee, Orthotist
Ken began his career in orthotics and prosthetics with Teter O&P in 2000 as a O&P technician. Ken worked at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in the Physical Therapy Department for twenty-one years before coming to work for Teter's. While at NMRH he was a member of the Diabetic Foot Clinic for eight years. Ken brings his diabetic foot care knowledge and expertise to Teter O&P. Ken grew up in Petoskey and continued to live there before moving to Harbor Springs where he currently resides with his wife, Sue, and their two children, Ryan and Kiersten.
Max Leonard, B.E.P., MSA, BS, Orthotist
Max started his career as an Athletic Trainer at Alma College in 1997. He graduated from Alma in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Exercise and Health Science. In 2000, he returned to Alma to work as a Certified Athletic Trainer as he attended Central Michigan University for a Masters in Heathcare Administration. He finished his Masters by working in Colorado and continued to live in Colorado Springs.
